Magento 1 Integration Guide

Integration with Magento 1 address forms made simple

A step-by-step guide to integration with Magento address forms.

Preparation

Download

You can download one of our Magento plugins from Magento Marketplace (recommended), or from our plugins page. We offer plugins for Address Auto-Complete (global address lookup for over 240 countries) and Postcode Lookup (UK only). The plugins are free to download.

Visit the download page

Next, you need to sign up for a Crafty Clicks account.

When you sign up, you will receive an access token by email. There is no obligation to buy anything and you automatically get 30 trial credits. If you need more credits to test the integration, please get in touch (support@craftyclicks.co.uk) and we will try to accommodate you.

Installation

Step 1

Either install the Crafty Clicks plugin using the Magento Connect Manager (recommended), or extract the zip file you downloaded and copy the contents to your Magento installation.

You can find our Address Auto-Complete and Postcode Lookup extensions on Magento Marketplace.

You must add the extension to your cart and go through the checkout process, but please note that both extensions are free.

Step 2

Once you have done this, go to your Magento Marketplace account. You can access this by clicking on the menu in the top right and selecting ‘My Account’. Choose the ‘Marketplace’ tab and click on ‘My Access Keys’. Here there should be a table listing the access keys for all the extensions you have purchased from Magento Marketplace. You should see the Crafty Clicks extension listed. Copy the access key for the Crafty Clicks extension. You will need this in step 3.

Step 3

In your Magento admin panel, go to System Magento Connect Magento Connect Manager. You may be asked to enter your sign in details again. You will then need to use your extension key from step 2. Under the ‘Install New Extensions’ heading you should see a box into which you can paste the extension key. Click Install, then Proceed, and the extension should be installed for you.

Step 4

In the Magento admin panel, go to System Configuration and find the Crafty Clicks plugin. Here you will need to insert your access token and enable the module.

Address Auto-Complete only:

To quickly insert your access token, click on the ‘Find My Access Token’ button below the Access Token input box. This will bring up a box from which you can log in to your Crafty Clicks account and view all your access tokens. Click on the access token you want to use to select it, and the Access Token field will be filled automatically.

Step 5 (optional)

In System Configuration, you can further customise the plugin to suit your checkout.

That’s it!

The plugin should now be ready to use.

Notes

Our module creates a submenu for Crafty Clicks in the System/Configuration page. However, due to a Magento 1 design flaw, you will have to logout and log back in to the Magento Admin Panel to be able to access it.
