OpenCart Integration Guide
Integration with OpenCart address forms made simple
A step-by-step guide to integration with OpenCart address forms.
Download one of our OpenCart plugins from the plugins page. We offer plugins for Address Auto-Complete (global address lookup for over 240 countries) and Postcode Lookup (UK only). The plugins are free to download.
Next, you need to sign up for a Crafty Clicks account.
When you sign up, you will receive an access token by email. There is no obligation to buy anything and you automatically get 100 trial lookups. If you need more lookups to test the integration, please get in touch (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will try to accommodate you.
This guide is for Address Auto-Complete and Postcode Lookup. However, the images only show installation of Address Auto-Complete.
Download the zip file and extract it.
In your OpenCart admin panel, locate the Extension Installer (hover over the puzzle piece icon, then select Extension Installer).
Click Upload, select the
clicktoaddress-x.x.ocmod.zip file and click on Open.
From the menu on the left hand side, hover over the puzzle piece icon, then select Extensions.
Select Modules from the dropdown list.
Click on the green install icon next to our integration (either Crafty Clicks Global Address Search or Crafty Clicks UK Postcode Lookup, depending on which module you are installing).
From the list of modules, click on the edit button next to ‘Crafty Clicks Global Address Search’. Here you need to insert your access token and enable the module.
Note: If you are installing the Postcode Lookup extension, your module’s configuration page will look slightly different to the page shown below.
Go to Layouts (Widescreen monitor icon on the left hand-side Layouts).
Add our module to the Account and the Checkout pages.
The module should now be installed and working.
In the admin panel, find the list of modules, then click on the edit button next to ‘Crafty Clicks Global Address Search’. Here you will find additional configuration options that you can use to customise the look and feel of the module.
Before you go live, test the integration to make sure it is working properly.
For the Postcode Lookup integration only, we have the following free postcodes for testing: AA1 1AA, AA1 1AB, AA1 1AD and AA1 1AE.
